Date Night

Tonight was suppose to be date night with Mr. Wonderful. He got a cold earlier this week and has had his nose in his hanky ever since. Is there a polite way to get out of date night? I did not want to get sick being so close to him at a restaurant and then shoulder to shoulder with him at the Comedy Club. Our friend bunny saved the day by asking him to the Avs game. At first Mr. Wonderful kindly turned him down, but I encouraged him to go since he probably did not want to get me sick.

I had reservations at the Comedy Works downtown so I asked Bettylou to go. Her BF is in California and she was available. She lives oh so close to downtown and she knows her way around unlike another daughter of mine who lives in the big city and got us lost a lot at our last visit!! No drama to and from, parked, walked, sat and ate. Comedians were good and I had free tickets. A good time was had by all. Tried to get Bettylou to come home with me. She wasn't a taker on that one.

Maybe we can try date night again next week with Mr. Wonderful but this week, my date with Bettylou was fun. She gave me a hug goodbye and watched me get in my car. Hope she calls me again sometime.
